The background

Genesis Global is a financial technology firm founded by two Directors in 2013. They had previously worked together at leading investment banks and through decades of experience, they’d realised the need for a different approach to innovation.

Genesis is dedicated to building a micro-services technology framework for the world of capital markets, this allows financial firms to build high-performance enterprise software applications in extremely short timeframes.

Following a successful launch, they now have ambitious plans for growth as well as gaining exposure and traction across the sector.

The brief

Genesis recently rebranded by launching a new logo supported by basic brand guidelines. However, they recognised that their messaging, visual language and digital presence, undermined their efforts and didn’t reflect the innovative or forward thinking nature of the business.

We were tasked with clarifying their messaging – and by working within their brand guidelines – bringing this to life across their website and marketing materials.

By using their logo as inspiration, we developed a suite of bespoke icons to create a distinctive graphic language, helping to set the tone for the bold visual identity.

Refreshed digital presence

We designed and built the new responsive website with a refreshed approach to imagery, new suite of icons and an expanded colour palette. This allowed all the key pages of the site to come alive with visually engaging content.

Strong messaging

We developed the concept of ‘Digital Velocity’. This ‘hook’ allowed us to strengthen core messages and benefits throughout their marketing materials. We also refined their typography and adapted their messaging to be much more conversational.

The new site has been designed with parallax scrolling, interactivity, and clear and easy-to-use navigation, helping to keep the audience engaged and enhance the user’s overall experience.

Fast turnaround

Genesis had a definitive launch date, therefore from brief through to delivery, we had two weeks to complete the entire project and hand the XD visuals to the in-house team to implement.
